We strongly believe karate should remain accessible for families, and discounted family rates continue to apply for households training together.
Despite rising operating costs, Brothock Shotokan Karate Club has maintained the same core training fees for 26 consecutive years — something we are extremely proud of as a community-focused club.
Members are encouraged — but never pressured — to train multiple times per week to support long-term development, confidence, fitness, and progression.

Dear Parent / Member
As we move into the new financial year, I’m pleased to confirm there will be no increase in training fees for 2026–27.
For over four decades in Arbroath and three in Forfar, we’ve worked hard to build a club based on strong community values — delivering quality coaching, maintaining high standards, and providing a positive,
supportive environment for all.
Our focus remains on:
These are key to long-term progress in karate.
We continue to offer excellent value, with access to multiple classes each week and additional training opportunities within the dojo.
Our club model remains strong, supported by an engaged Organising Committee and a fantastic group of volunteers who help create opportunities for our members throughout the year.
Some have said — “the best wee karate dojo in Scotland.”
Most importantly, we remain a community-based club built on respect, effort, and shared progress — something we are very proud of.
Family discounts continue to apply.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support.
